Should you be bored over the weekend...
August 31st, 2007I probably won't be updating the site until Wednesday. In the meantime, if you happen to find any interesting images online, post them in the comments section below, and I may use them in future caption contests.

Flickr week
August 21st, 2006I usually use google image search to find images for the daily contest. Lauren recently suggested using flickr's search engine to find interesting photos. It's an excellent idea, as it tends to find more interesting, personal images, and fewer product advertisements and such.
This week, I'm going to use flickr images exclusively. The meta-contest here is to come up with search words to enter into the flickr search engine. Just post some interesting search terms below, and I'll check them out. You will receive glory and vast sums of wealth* if your search terms lead to a caption contest photo.
* Vast sums of wealth not included. Glory sold separately.
More links!
August 14th, 2006Please post links to interesting images for the coming week. Your efforts will be rewarded in the next life.
Linkies please
August 5th, 2006Please post links to images that you'd like to caption in the upcoming week. Instant fame: guaranteed. Instant fortune: the prospect is unlikely.
Gimme images!
July 23rd, 2006Send me interesting images from the internet and it may be used in future caption contests! Just post the urls below!
Weekend fun
July 15th, 2006Since there won't be a new image contest until Monday, here's a meta-contest for you. Find interesting images on the internet that you would like to see as caption contests, and post the urls here (e.g. "http://www.foo.com/images/bar.jpg"). If I like them, they may show up as future contest images, with credit being given to you as the image hunter. Feel free to post them here all week long - I'll check occasionally to see if there are any new urls.
Note: Don't worry too much about the image size, so long as it's not particularly small (say, less than 300 pixels a side). I usually end up having to scale images down anyhow, so large images are perfectly OK.
